Specific details must be clearly stated on the notic to ensure the other party has reasonable awareness of their responsibilities. Here are some of the basic details that should be included in a Notice to Vacate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name of tenant and other persons who need to vacate the property<\/li>\n<li>Address of rental property<\/li>\n<li>Reason for lease termination<\/li>\n<li>Number of days until the property is vacant<\/li>\n<li>Signature of person giving Notice to Vacate<\/li>\n<li>Date that Notice to Vacate is given<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Notice to Vacate<\/strong> - What should I do with it?<\/h3>\n<p>If you are a tenant who has received the Landlord Notice to Vacate, you may need to remove all of your possessions and vacate the rental property by the date stated on the Notice to Vacate Form. If you are a landlord or property manager who has received the Tenant Notice to Vacate, you should start finding a new tenant for your rental property. If a Notice to Vacate is given before a tenant's Lease Agreement has ended, additional actions may need to be taken by either party depending on the terms of the rental agreement.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Notice to Vacate<\/strong> - What else should I know?<\/h3>\n<p>The Notice to Vacate is similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyem.com\/forms\/notice-to-quit\">Notice to Quit Form<\/a> for termination of tenancy, and can be used to inform the tenant to leave after the lease is up (common with month to month leases), or if there is no lease and you just want the tenant to leave. The Notice to Vacate <strong>does not evict the tenant or terminate the Lease Agreement<\/strong>. If you want the tenant to vacate the property due to nonpayment of rent, or because they cause physical injury to the property or pose a health hazard, you should read more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyem.com\/forms\/eviction-notice\">Eviction Notice Forms<\/a> such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyem.com\/forms\/notice-to-quit\">Notice to Quit Form<\/a>. It is important that these forms are detailed and specific, because an inaccurate or incomplete form could potentially cause difficulties during a future eviction proceeding.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving the Notice to Vacate, the amount of time that must be given to vacate the property will vary by state, so you should be sure to check with the laws.
