How can I enter the date for a transaction?

How to Enter a Date Other than the 1st of the Month for a Transaction:

Follow these steps to modify the date for a transaction in your account:

  1. Go to the Property Worksheet: Start by navigating to the specific property worksheet where the transaction is recorded.
  2. Select the Property and Tenant: In the worksheet, select the appropriate property and tenant for which the transaction was recorded. This will help narrow down your search for the correct transaction.
  3. Locate the Transaction: Once you have selected the correct property and tenant, locate the transaction you wish to edit in the list of transactions.
  4. Click the Edit Transaction Icon: Next to the transaction entry, you will see the “Edit Transaction” icon (usually represented by a pencil or an edit symbol). Click on this icon to open the transaction details.

  6. Change the Date: In the transaction details window, look for the date field. This field will typically default to the current date or the 1st of the month. Click on the date field to open a calendar view or manually type in the new date. You can now select a date other than the 1st of the month for this transaction.

  8. Save the Changes: After you’ve entered the correct date, ensure that your changes are saved. Click the “Save” or “Update” button, usually located at the bottom of the form. This step is crucial to apply the updated date to the transaction and reflect the changes in your records.
